In 1990 William and Marcia Bobbitt made a bold move to help reshape the factory building industry by forming The Bobbitt Group -- a consulting, communications and business development organization. It was then that we decided to concentrate 100% on offering consulting services, on a FULL TIME BASIS, to the various disciplines within the factory building industry.   We have provided consulting services on a continuous basis since forming The Bobbitt Group.

As a CEO of modular, panelized and manufactured housing companies I knew first hand the need to have someone available who could become a pro tempore member of my team, to help solve a particular problem or to perform a prescribed scope of work, without affecting my existing day to day operations.  I also knew of the lack of full-time professional consultants within the industry.

One of our major goals is to help existing and to be developed factory building operations re-think the traditional ways that business is done in the industry. In a highly competitive industry, with an increased focus and pressure on sales and marketing, many operations are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain the proper operational balance that allows them to not just maintain bottom line profits but to increase overall efficiency and profitability.

We are a results oriented consulting group specializing in the various disciplines within the industrialized/engineered building industry. Our consulting group was formed to meet the needs of ownership, executive management, investors and entrepreneurs in every aspect of an industrialized/engineered building operation — in both domestic and international arenas.

Our unique blending of pragmatic, straight line thinking, coupled with advance strategies and tactics are fitted to your company’s needs. Our solutions are centered and founded on reality — not graphs, charts, philosophies and computer models.

Marcia serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial officer. She negotiates contracts with clients and oversees job assignments.  She also takes part in the development and preparation of business planning documents.  She performs field investigative work to determine the market potential for new facilities and in preparing competition analysis.  She is instrumental in the publishing of the final reports to all clients.

The primary consultant for the group is William S. Bobbitt.  Bill has more than 45 years of experience in the various disciplines of the automated building industry.  His experience includes modular, panelized, HUD-Code, structural insulated panels (SIPS), wood and steel framing, residential and commercial structures, and other industry disciplines.

 

When retained by our clients we become part-time, pro tempore members of your staff. We give you the depth and expertise you require while still allowing you to tend to the day to day operations of your business.  By not having to add a long term fixed expense you maintain a lean and mean payroll.  

As an outside consultant we maintain a detached objectivity. We do not get involved in a company’s hierarchy, internal politics or fixed way of thinking.

 FEASIBILITY STUDIES:

The preparation of a feasibility study to determine the validity and profitability of a new automated building business venture; or, for identifying new opportunities for an existing business.
